I teach at a high school two periods a day and spend the rest of the day as the I.T. for the school. We purchased a Mac Mini server last spring and bought a Promise Pegasus R4 to go along with it. The Mac Server OS performed very well with the Promise R4's Thuderbolt interface, but I wanted the capabilities of a Windows Server OS. So I Bootcamped Windows Server 2008 onto the Mac Mini and noticed that the Windows 7 Bootcamp driver CD installed ALL of the drivers perfectly, except for the Pegasus. I scoured the internet for solutions. I really wanted to have the RAID array and Thunderbolt speeds to work with my new Mac Mini I7 8GB system using Windows server 2008! No solutions were available.So I came back to work this fall and did the five weeks of hell that 3000 kids, 110 teachers, 40 other miscellaneous staff members, and 600 computers can place on an I.T. person. After week five, when things started to slow down a bit, I tackled the Pegasus R4 Windows conundrum. I scoured the internet again and saw a solution! It was Percy Kwong's steps to get a Promise Pegasus R4 or R6 working in a Bootcamped Windows environment. The steps were easy. I struggled a bit with the proper driver because not all drivers are the same depending on what OS you are using. Percy walked me through the problem and I was up and running! Thank you Percy Kwong!
